Comment Beautiful sunny, warm day, windless at times. No hatches noted. Some small fish rising sporadically to something. River looking very pretty. Caught all the fish on a parachute R.A.B which is a very well known fly in South African circles and especially good on riffle stretches when the fish do not have much time to inspect the fly.

Comment 4 wildies that came up for small caddis in the hour before lunch.
Abundant hatches throughout the day but only one true rising fish - which we hooked but failed to land!
Went totally quiet after lunch and we packed up at c5.30.Lots of fish spotted, just stuck to the bottom that day.

Comment Water was clear with no fish seen at all. started with Parachute adams and sedges then went on to small nymphs. Caught the smallest Brownie ever and had one solid take but failed to hook. A bit of weed coming down the river too, however condition of the water was good, as ever the estate was in pristine condition, a great day despite the lack of fish. Afetr sepaking to one of the club members they stated the river hadn been stocked, low and behold the keeper was their early afternoon stocki
